Because classes began Wednesday, our first real night of homework was last night (Thursday). The first day of classes are always spent going over the syllabus, outlining expectations, etc. Studying was definitely an experience in the dorm rooms last night....here is a bit of what I learned...
It is impossible to study in your dorm room with the dorm open. Having said that, it is impossible to study with your dorm close (you feel claustrophobic). What I am trying to say is it is IMPOSSIBLE to study in your dorm room altogether :)
After moving to the common room to study around 10 PM last night, my friend Kyle decided to join me. As first it was OK...I was listening to my iPod...he was listening to his iPod...but somewhere in the mix, iPod were forgot and music was blasting out of our laptops. Specifically Journey's song "Don't Stop Believing" by the Cast of Glee. Kyle was trying to choose a song to sing for acapella. Well he decided to sing "Don't Stop Believing" and the next 2 hours were spent singing the song at the top of our lungs. Furthermore, I can't sing...so everytime my solo would come, we would burst out laughing! Somewhere along the way, we added interpretative dancing along with leaps, jumps, and gymnastics. A snuggie or two might have also made an appearance! I also found out that I was appointed the "unofficial" calc 2 tutor to everyone on our floor! I have currently already had 3 "students"...haha! I am quite proud that I am able to actually help them!
Well I better go and study, seeing how it didn't go so well last night. I am sitting in our dorm's library waiting for my laundry to finish drying (yes...I learned how to do my own laundry!). Homework for Chemistry, National & Identity, and Infectious Diseases awaits me! I finished all my German homework last night :)
